Veterinary direction

For dressing retention, ask your veterinarian whether Guard-Tex is suitable for the animal and application.

Questions, answered.

Can I use Guard-Tex instead of a wound dressing?

No. It does not replace a wound dressing or a prescribed support or compression product. Ask your veterinarian which materials to use.

Does non-stretch mean a wrap cannot become too tight?

No. Any wrap can become too tight if applied incorrectly or if swelling develops. Your veterinarian should determine the bandage materials, fit and care plan.

Does Guard-Tex contain latex?

Yes. Guard-Tex contains natural rubber latex. Do not use if you or your animal has a natural rubber latex allergy.
